Maintenance contract renewed with Telefónica de España (December 2006)

Telefónica de España has renewed the contract with CEFISA for the maintenance of the SCADA system, which supervises the infrastructure of their mobile telephone network. CEFISA has provided this service since 2002, when it was awarded the contract for the provision and putting into service of the system. Although being a critical system for Telefónica de España, given the reliability demonstrated the contract has been reduced in scope from 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week. The SCADA system supervises critical mobile telephone infrastructure in Spain and is distributed in 16 nodes installed in 16 critical nodes in the network.
